Teastained is a free, personal journal for gongfu tea, run from Austria by the operator named on the privacy page. Using it means agreeing to the few things below. They are written to be read.

The service

Teastained lets you keep a record of the teas you own and drink: your cupboard, your sessions, your vessels, your wishlist, photos and notes, and the prices it finds for your teas on the shops you bought them from. It is offered as it is, free of charge, as a personal project, and may change over time. Prices it shows are what a shop's page said when it was last checked; they are not an offer and can be wrong or out of date.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account you control and are responsible for keeping it secure. Your username is chosen once and cannot be changed afterwards. One person, one account. You must be at least 16 years old.

Your content

What you put into your journal stays yours. Teastained needs no rights to it beyond storing it and showing it back to you, which is what you are asking it to do. You are responsible for it: upload only photos you have the right to use, and nothing unlawful. Nothing in your journal is shown to anyone else unless you choose to: if you share your wishlist, anyone with its link can see it, with its photos, and with your notes only if you include them. You can turn sharing off at any time.

Reporting content

If you find something on Teastained that you believe is unlawful or infringes your rights, such as a photo on a shared wishlist, write to hello@teastained.app with its link and why you think so. Every report is read. Content that breaks the law or these terms is removed, and the person who put it there is told why.

Fair use

Use Teastained as a person keeping a tea journal. Do not try to reach other people's data, overload the service, circumvent its limits, or use it to send traffic to shops or anyone else beyond your own normal use. Accounts that do are removed.

Your data

What is stored, where and for how long is described in the privacy page. You can export everything at any time from Settings, and delete your account there, with a 14-day grace period in which signing in again keeps it.

Availability and changes

Teastained is run by one person on a small server. It aims to be there when you want it, but there is no guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and features may change or be removed. Should the service ever be discontinued, you will be told in advance with enough time to export your data.

Liability

Teastained is provided free and as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, its operator is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use or unavailability, including lost data, which is why the export exists and why you should keep one. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights consumers have under the law of their country.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time. Teastained may close accounts that break these terms.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by Austrian law, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. Questions go to hello@teastained.app. If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with them.
