What's new
30 October 2026
Count up. A live session can now time a steep by counting up instead of down. Pick "count up" under the steep number, start the steep, and tap Done when you pour: the time you actually steeped is logged. The ensō draws one full circle a minute, so its length shows how long the steep ran, and a small ink splatter marks where the last steep ended. The app remembers your choice.
Wishlist photos from your teas. Adding a tea to your wishlist, from your own cupboard or from a tea someone shared, now brings its photo along, cropped the way it was.
Fixed
- On short steeps the ensō no longer wobbles inside the circle every second.
- Shortening a steep before starting it no longer makes the ensō start almost closed.
- A shared tea's price chart now shows the full history of the option you track, also after you switch options.
- "Add to my wishlist" on a tea you shared yourself now works.
- Price checks no longer stop when a shop takes too long to answer.
23 October 2026
Share a tea. Tap "share" on a tea to get a link anyone can open, with or without an account. They see the photo, the name, the type and the shop. You choose whether they also see your notes, your stock, what you paid, the shop's current price and your sessions. Anyone signed in can add the tea to their own wishlist from there.
Sharing your wishlist uses the same window now, and on a phone its Share link button opens the share sheet.
A tidier panel. In an open tea, wishlist item or vessel, all the text now starts on one line, the same as the text in the price box.
Fixed
- "out of stock" on the price panel had a thick dashed frame. It now looks like the labels beside it.
- A price that never changed was drawn along the bottom of its chart. The line now runs through the middle.
- In the Shodo themes, the "Cupboard" label beside an open tea now sits under its dot.
13 October 2026
Cups are their own thing. A vessel now says what it's used for, brewing or drinking. Cups stay out of the vessel picker when you start a session, and the vessel list splits into "Brew in" and "Drink from". A vessel that already has sessions stays a brewing vessel.
Tags on the wishlist. Wishlist items take tags the same way teas do, and the search box finds them.
Hong Kong dollar. HK$ joins the list, making fifteen currencies.
Fixed
- A number too large for its field now names the field, for example "Year is not a valid number", instead of showing a generic error.
12 October 2026
Rinses. A session can record up to five rinses, and they never count as a steep. A live session has a Rinse button with undo. Logging afterwards and editing both have a Rinses field. The session then reads "8 steeps · rinsed ×2".
Shops built on Wix. Discover and catalog prices can now read Wix shops as well as Shopify and WooCommerce.
8 October 2026
Longer notes. Notes on teas, sessions and wishlist items now hold 8,000 characters, up from 4,000.
Limits you can see. Fields with a length limit show a counter as you get close, like 182 / 200. A link that's too long gets a warning, and Save stays off until it fits. Before, the save just failed.
7 October 2026
Weights the shop doesn't give. If a shop doesn't say how much a tracked option weighs, the price panel asks you, so price per gram still works. 14 g at $5 comes out at $0.36/g.
Wix product options now show up as price choices.
When the next check comes. If a shop can't be checked right away, "Check now" tells you when the next try will be.
2 October 2026
Fixed
- Narrow phones like the Fairphone now show two columns in the cupboard.
1 October 2026
What a vessel brews. Open a vessel to see which tea types you've brewed in it and every session it was part of. Tap a type in the bar to get to the teas.
30 September 2026
Forms, reworked. The tea, wishlist and vessel forms now share one layout: photos first, then the tea, the purchase and your notes. The Tab key follows the same order.
- A tea needs only a name to save. The amount is optional, and price per gram appears once you enter one. The "I don't know the amount" checkbox is gone.
- Sub-type is marked as optional.
- Wishlist items get a sub-type, and it carries over when you move the item to the cupboard.
- Vessels get a vendor and a link.
- On phones, Total paid and Currency share one line.
Fixed
- The photo at the top of a panel now uses the same crop as the card.
- On phones, the × on a photo thumbnail no longer covers the photo or its cover star.
- Editing a wishlist item no longer clears the price variant you confirmed.
29 September 2026, launch day
First steps. Today shows two first steps until you log your first session. Empty screens show a faded example of what will go there.
Unsaved changes. If you've changed a form, tapping outside it, pressing Escape or using the phone's Back button now asks before your edits are discarded. Cancel and × still close it at once.
Fixed
- In Firefox on Android, the tab bar no longer floats above an empty strip.
- On an installed iPhone, the + button no longer overlaps the tab bar.
- An empty cupboard no longer says "Well stocked".
